Prescriptions

Our doctors only take responsibility for refills of medication they originally prescribed. DEA scheduled prescriptions require a written order; contact our office.

The fastest and safest way to refill your prescription is to call your pharmacy and ask them to send an electronic refill request, by Internet, to our office. Your pharmacy already has our Internet contact information! Please remind your pharmacist not to send us a fax; refill requests sent by fax will not be honored, and will be ignored.

If you choose to call a prescription request into our office, you must do so at least seven days before you need the prescription filled. Call 805-547-2224 and press 2, and then please leave your name, the name of the pharmacy you would like your prescription sent to, your date of birth, the name of the medication, the size of the dose in milligrams, and the number of times per day the dose is to be taken. If you require branded medication or a certain size pill, be sure to specify.

An example would be, “Jane Doe, birthday February 14, 2000, medication is Tylenol, six hundred and fifty milligrams, 2 times per day, sent to Medco Mail Order pharmacy.”
